Brian Gilley

After a life of prodigal living, Pastor Brian was saved by the grace of God in the summer of 1998 at the age of 20. After Christ intervened, he went off to Appalachian Bible College and later to Baptist Bible College. At BBC he met Priscila and a year later they were married.
In 2003 he was brought on as the youth pastor of Southern View Chapel.

Priscila and Brian have 2 sons, Isaac and Malachi.

Priscila Gilley

Priscila is a native Brazilian. She and her family came to the States when she was 11 - to the promised land of Newark, New Jersey. She attended Word of Life Bible Institute and then Baptist Bible College where she met her husband, Brian.

Priscila's role has morphed over the years. She was at first in attendance and active in all youth group events. Now that she has 2 little Gilley boys she spends a great deal more time in smaller group settings and one on one time.

However you can still find her at LiM, Bible study, in with the high school during Sunday School and Wednesday night as well as at most events.

Christy Steiner

Christy has been a life long attendee of SVC and a vital part of many ministries at the church - not least of which is the youth group.
She met her husband at SVC in 1998 and it has been bliss ever since. She is now a busy, happy mom of 2.

She is often at LiM and in with the high school for Sunday School and Wednesday Nights. Christy also serves as one of the leaders during prayer nights and at many events.

Jared Steiner

Jared grew up in the Springfield area, attended Rochester and during his freshman year in college years at Illinois State he came to embrace the Gospel. Shortly thereafter he began attending SVC and there met his wife, Christy.

Jared serves in a variety of capacities. He is highly valued for his creative ideas, unreal amount of energy, ability to eat more than anyone, desire to grow, and his compassion for people.

Curt Fleck

Curt grew up at SVC. He attended Cedarville University where he met his wife and played basketball. He tried to get away from this area but the pull of Springfield was just too strong. We are glad for his return.

Curt is a great promotional man and he uses that for much of what is done in our ministry. Curt also serves as an alternate teacher, helps to coordinate and organize events and come up with ideas.

Kim Fleck

Kim grew up in Michigan and attended Bob Jones University for a year before heading off to Cedarville University. While there she met her husband and ran cross country - probably a little running from Curt too :)

Kim ran drama for us here and even put together skits before their recent move. Now that she is back with us that work may once again resume. You can find Kim at Bible study, LiM, most events and usually in with the high school during Sunday School and Wednesday night.
Kim and Curt are the parents of one little girl.

Chris Wilson

Chris, Topher as we call him, first came to SVC to attend a funeral. At that funeral he heard the Gospel. This hearing of the Word of God began a chain reaction in his life. He began to search to see if these things were true and in so doing came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

He has been among us now for about a year and is active in serving in both writing music and leading in music. He is a breath of fresh air and a welcome addition to the local body of Christ.

Mike Sanchez

Mike first came to SVC a few years back as a single man and high school math teacher. He has grown so much in the last few years and has progressively become more involved in a whole variety of ways in the last couple years - and he has changed jobs, (still teaching math, just at another school) and fixed his 'singleness' problem.

Mike is the main teacher for the college bible study and an alternating teacher in a variety of age groups at SVC. He and wife Amber love to host the impromptu happenings for both college folk and high schoolers.

Amber Sanchez

Amber came to SVC just a few years ago via the Sanchez connection - i.e. she married Mike. As a registered nurse Amber has come to be very helpful, to say the least, when someone goes down.

She loves the girls in the group and is devoted to being involved in girl's Bible study and LiM. She and husband Mike, love camping and hosting parties and gatherings for the college crew and the high school crowd.

Ivan Romine

Ivan grew up in Siler City, North Carolina. He is the oldest of 3 children in a Christ honoring home. Ivan graduated from Cornerstone Bible Institute and has served at SVC ever since.

Ivan serves the youth in a lot of ways. He helps to coordinate and plan events, he is an alternate teacher, attends nearly every function, invents games and leads the music. Despite all this Ivan tends to most enjoy simple service and behind the scenes work.
Ivan met his wife Mara at SVC and were married in 2009.

Mara Romine

Mara is a native to the Springfield area. She attended SVC as a child. A few years ago she came on back to us and quickly found a home among us. She went to college and then became a CSI - sort of.

Mara tends to stay in the behind the scenes scenarios as much as she can. She has a passion to serve but not be seen. She is usually in Sunday school and Wednseday night with the youth group and goes on the occasional trip.

She and Ivan were wed just this summer and are living the dream.

Dan Souther

Dan and his family came to SVC during his sophomore in high school. He got involved and began to rapidly grow in the knowledge of the Lord. After high school he went to ABC for 3 years and is now back among us - for the time being.

Dan does a lot of things, such as:
- he is the tech guy & develops web projects
- writes on the blog
- works on events
- photographer

Jaclyn Kestner

Jek is a life-timer at SVC. She just graduated from Rochester last year and has been involved in most goings on since. She is transferring into more leadership capacities all the time and thoroughly enjoys serving and whatever ways are given to her.

You will usually find her at...pretty much anything youth groupish.
